Am interested in using tiger foam ( or something similar) to insulate the the band joist that sit on top of my basement wall. The only way I can find to buy it is directly from the company. Do any of you know of any other outlets that sell it. Thanks for your repies.

From the pricing on Tiger Foam's website it is cheaper to hire a foam insulator to come in than it is to buy the foam only and do it yourself.
Is it cheaper to have an installer come in and spray the same product? Does Tiger Foam have installers?
What numbers are you basing this on? Board foot prices?

That was my conclusion last time I looked at Tiger Foam prices and compared them to a Corbond contractor. Also, it looks like you get a whole lotta leftover metal tanks and trash with the Tiger kits, which I wouldn't like.
That is true if you are talking a large area, but for a simple belly band, they will charge 4-600 just to get set up

Which is the cost of a Tiger foam kit. I honestly can't see any application where it would be cheaper to use tiger foam rather than hire a contractor with a truck mounted system. Even if you value your labor at zero.
