I’m sitting here thumbing through an old issue of FHB (May 2001) and am reading the article on tiling by David Hart.
I am real curious why Mr. Hart describes in detail why you should use sanded grout versus unsanded grout for grout spacing over 1/8″, and especially for floor tiling with a wider than 1/8″ gap, and then proceeds to grout the floor tiles with an unsanded grout. Problem I see is in the article photos he is clearly using unsanded grout on the floor tiles (which have a wider gap than 1/8″). The photo shows clearly that he is working on the floor tiles, and shows the bag of unsanded grout he is using right beside his mixing buckets.
Is there a particular reason he is using the unsanded grout instead of the sanded grout?
Just curious…
