I am constructing a wood border(ie. 1×6) around my tiled entry way. It will require me to make two joints at 45 degree angles. I would like the joints to be visually pleasing as well as structural sound. Ideas???

A border doesn't need to be
i structurally sound.
It's sitting on the subfloor, wedged between tile and wall/baseboard. . . it's decoration!
And is there something inherently
i visually displeasing
about a simple, tight 45 mitre??
If you're concerned about your ability to fabricate a tight mitre, use a chop saw, or radial arm saw, and measure carefully, and cut to your pencil marks
b very precisely.
It ain't rocket science!!!

*TomIf you have the cutter, you might consider using biscuits to keep the miter corners flat and tight.Jay
