I’ll be putting tile in a customers small bathroom floor. Floor is concrete with bins or some other stain kill primer at least 5yrs old. Would just roughing up the floor and using mastic give sufficient adhesion? If I have to remove the primer I’ll prob use thinset. Thanks

Don't use mastic in a bathroom.
Has the sealer been exposed and walked on for the past few years? Then just clean it well and spread thinset.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
