Ok, I´m wondering if anybody has any suggestions for pattern books for tiling. I´ve done all the basic stuff (herringbones diagonals, ect) and I know that I could surf the web and just find bathroom pics…………..but I would like to get some type of pattern book that had a wide variety to help my creativity??
Any ideas??

.....no
A while back someone was looking for Victorian patterns and I believe some info was brought forth.
Not sure what to tell you to search for thread wise though.

thanks eric............I'm looking for more modern patterns/ commenly used stuff.
I guess maybe a good tile projects magazine would be good.....Any tilers out there got sugestions?

That's a hard one, CB. My suggestion would be to pick up tile catalogues from the high-end manufacturers like Dal-tile. In there you will see the best work from the best tile guys in the biz.
You could also just pick up a bunch of mis-matched left-overs from a local tile contractor, take 'em home, and drop the whole box on the driveway from about 7 or 8 feet up.
Then have some fun making mosaïcs outta all the little pieces. If that doesn't get yer creative juices flowin', not much will....

I have one ...
"Ceramic abd Natural Tile Ideas" ...
then I'm not to thrilled with. Nothing much in there I can't sketch.
if U find another one ... please let us know.
this one is OK to show customers pics of what I'm already talking about ... but for inspiration ... same old same old.

I have used this website for some ideas. You can download most of the patterns to PDF files for printing.

Don't know if you want to be this "creative" or not, but you could try looking at Amish quilt patterns.
Not that I have anything in mind that would translate, but I'll bet there ore some thought-starters there.
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
Amish quilt patterns! Hey that might be a good Idea..............
Well seeing that there are so few, maybe I'll just have to spend the next year taking pics of every neat tile pattern I see, and then draw some patterns and publish a book!
Actually in the photo gallery I found a lot of good pics in of project people had done..............for ideas at least.
But I don't wanna use others pics without permission to show patterns to customers.
When in doubt, get a bigger hammer!
