Why are tile saws mostly with the motor above the table? As a woodworker, I’d much rather have a tile saw that was like a table saw, with the blade under the table. This way, I could see the line and cut pretty much any angle. All the saws I see in the table saw configuration look like toys. Has anybody ever seen a table saw style tile saw in professinal grade?

while I've never used this saw ... been one I've thought about buying for some time now ... same reasons as yours. Mark a line and pretty much unlimited capacity too.

Check this one out too... It's a little cheaper and I think I like it better.
I've got one of those little saws... I really like it. Easy to see what I'm doing for intricate cutting. Darn site more portable than the big one I used to rent. I was afraid it wouldn't have enough power. But I did a floor with 3/4 to 1 inch slate reclaimed from a bank. It did a good job. --- BRICK
