What happened??? Take a look at the picture and where did the red come from? the grout is all from the same bag and the bathroom was not used for 6 weeks after completion!

The recipe for linoleum hasn't changed much in nearly 170 years, yet it's still one of the greenest floors money can buy.

What you are saying is the shower was not used and the grout turned? Or was the shower used after the 6 weeks and then the grout turned? I had a similar color change in my shower. Turned out the membrain for the pan was installed wrong (by me, live and learn). I also had shower doors and figure the screws pierced the membrain and allowed the water in. Further damage caused by the corners being wrong.
I had to rip out the floor, step, and two rows of wall tile to fix the problem. Read in FHB about floor pans and now no problem.
On a lighter note, DW had to have got you to put those floor tiles on the angle right? My bath upstairs is an angle nightmare. Looks great but what a job to install.
The only red colour is from under the corian "sil" the rest of the bathroom is fine. The shower pan is as detailed in FH. and the colour of that is fine. Its just this one area and I wonder why?
What I would do is to try and regrout over the red and see what shakes. Cant hurt. Either that or stain all the grout red.... : )

Try treating it with bleach. If it goes away it may be some strange shower fungus. I get wierd red stains on a corian threshold under the shower door frequently. A little bleach cures the problem.
possible that it is related to the Corian? I can't see any direct relationship.

Reminds me of the first time I used sanded grout in a tub enclosure - no gloves - started getting red streaks all over the grout - eventually realized I had sanded the skin off my fingertips. =:-o

any chance the threshold was marked on the bottom with a red china marker? Maybe the cut line.......or...were there red markings on the pan liner......Jeff She's exotic ,but not foreign, like an old Cadillac......she's a knockout!
The red is a biological. I am not sure what exactly. I have had it occur on grouting and plastic shower curtains. A Javex or Clorox wash removed it.
