I am considering building a timber frame home in the st louis area next year. I have built one timber frame in the past but would like to have another builder handle the raising and the panel installation on this one. Does anyone have any good timberframing companies that you have actually worked with in the midwest to recommend? Thanks in advance.

Dave-
I shall boldly toot my own horn. I've been designing, erecting, and building timber frame and panel homes throughout the mid west for 12 years, with over 50 projects under the belt. I work with Riverbend Timber Framing out of Michigan. My company is at it's core a representativeship, but more broadly a design/sales/erecting company. We frequently are asked to provide design input early on so that the frame and panels make sense structurally and monetarily. Then we consult with whomever needs it to see that the home is built correcxtly and efficiently (like electricians, HVAC, etc). Then we provide at a minimum an advisor to oversee erecting and paneling- we often do the complete install as well. I'm about 9 hours north east of you, just north of Milwaukee. Riverbend and I do lots of work all around Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, and we do have a few completed projects in the St. Louis area. I can be E mailed at [email protected]. Hope you'll consider us. I'll happily provide references upon request.
