In England, 70 miles to the west of London, business for most contractors is pretty brisk. I’m booked up for a good few weeks. I would still like the phone to ring more often, though. How’s things for you guys?

This week they switched our plant from 9 hour a day shifts to 12 hours a day.
Guress that means we're busy.
Our truss supplier is backed up 6 weeks. That is a big pain.Business has been steady but I would be comfortable with a bigger backlog. I can't complain since the company is less than one year old.

I'm meeting with a guy tomorrow to go over a proposal I submitted on a 6000 sq ft frame. I'm pretty sure it's a go. That'll be one job in progress and four booked. Schedule is full until late November/early December. I'm very happy with that.
But even still...... schedules are rediculous. I guarantee I won't end up doing one of those frames and will pick up something else instead. Either someone will be ready early and find another framer, or someone will be ready late and I won't be able to wait. Nature of the beast.
Depends on who you talk to. Literally everyone I know, has told me "expect a call from...." yet if any of them were to call they would only have to wait about 3.5 weeks.
I always seem to get what I need, but i'd feel more comfortable if with the next three months booked.
More work than I can do here. Been turning work away for about 3 months. I'm looking at a few jobs now but I'll be cherry picking.
My current jobs are customs but the spec business is full throttle. Houses here are selling mostly before they are completed. Lot inventory a bit on the short side. It's a bit scary to tell the truth.

Not enough days in the week. To the point, I'm actually considering an employee, or 2. Working alone just isn't getting it done.
