time to blow cellulose in attic
I was going to rent an Intec Force 1 Blower to blow about 100 25lb bags into an attic, about 2.5 stories up (25 feet or so) – any idea how long that would take base on peoples experience either with this machine or similar rental machine. I see the stats on their website, but it is based on a 16 foot height, not 25 feet height.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

I've blown in attics many times before with rental machines
and all I can tell you for sure is its a crapshoot. Get a really good machine and it can go fast. Get a bad one and you can spend as much time taking things apart and shaking out a clogged hose as you do blowing insulation. Partly its also dependent on the guy you have on the ground feeding it right. Not too fast and breaking it up at least partially before you dump it in.
My best suggestion based on past experience is to have a couple of T shirts and towels handy and outside the house and maybe even extra drawers and shorts. I tend to sweat a bunch and not much will make me feel better than taking a break from a hot attic and hosing off and getting on a dry shirt. Besides, my wife makes certain I drop everything in the garage before I come in for a shower so I always have a pair of shorts on standby for that too.

sorry but thats way too much information cuss
Just ask him what his wife makes the mailman do.
Its the neighbor ladies that are the problem when you are stripping down in the garage. They want me to keep the door up! ...and yes I can keep it up as long as they want.
Like cuss said ... depends a lot on the feed end. If you are ready to go and you got the right machine and the right help on the ground ... you should be able to do this in 6-8 hours easily. I used to do this, but I don't recall a bag/hour rate kind of thing (old age makes me ferget). A bag every say 2 1/2 minutes is 4+ hours. Doubt that you'd do better than that at all.
Use a full respirator ... not just a mask ... your comfort level will be much higher.
Is this under construction or is it an existing house? If existing, seal the access to the attic as the air pressure will tend to 'blow' dusty air back into the house.
