Tim,
DO you know a good flatwork guy? I need a 20 X 14 patio poured.
Can probably get a Bobcat to it but not a concrete truck. All the concrete will need to come in by hand.
NOthing fancy, standard broom finish. Need three spots strong enough for deck posts and I’d like to see a little membrane of some kind against the house as opposed to just pouring up against the siding like a ton of other guys have done around here.
It’s not too far from you offices. CLose to Plantique actually.

Just a suggestion, why not pump the concrete instead of hump it by hand?
We can get a trailer pump at about 400 a shot, which is a hell of a lot easier then humping it back in wheelbarrows.
We put it in the bucket of the skid loader, 5' bucket holds lots more then the one wheeler. Just spend a little more time on clean-up.
wondering what the cost/time/benifit ratios is to that.
A skid steer if available is certainly cheaper then a pump unit, be it a tow behind or full boom truck.
but you still have to figure in some sort of hourly charge and pump would be faster.
We've never moved CC by bucket though.
Occasionaly our CC guy can get a late afternoon boom pump on the cheap, otherwise mainly tow behind units.
Cost/time is my question too. I know it's gotta be easier. I've humped my fair share of concrete.
BUt of all the patios I have seen poured around the neighborhood, all humped in by hand.
Must be some reason for that. Maybe two $12 an hour helpers cost less than the $400 for the pump?
To me, I would pay the extra just to avoid having the wheel ruts all over my yard. I'm betting my neighbors wouldn't.
robert,
we do our own concrete for the most part and could take care of it for you, but i'm not sure that's the answer you are looking for. how soon do you need it done ?
send me an email and i will give you a more detailed response with other options.

Tim,
The sooner the better. I'll shoot you an E-Mail. Mostly what I'm looking for is for it to be done properly. The guy who did the patio next to me would come jackhammer it out and cart it away in the middle of the night if he had any self respect.
I didn't think you guys got involved in anything that small.
Tim,
Sent you an E-Mail thru Breaktime. Did you get it?
nope,
but I sent one to you.
