Last week I bought one of DeWalt’s new portable table saws and these are my impressions so far; it is ruggad.light and small enough to make it easy to haul around, upstairs etc. It only rips to 16 inches which I thought would be enough but I soon discovered that a few more inches would be useful. The rip fence is quite accurate right out of the box and after a week of fairly steady use has remained so. But it seems a little fragile and I don’t think it will survive much abuse such as a bouncing around in the back of a truck. The saw comes with a narrow kerf 24 tooth carbide blade that cuts well but not particularly smoothly. It also come with a nice push stick that clips to the right side of the saw. And then there is the miter gauge. It is an embarrassingly flimsy thing.

Thanks for that review. I was considering it but opted out. Instead I got its big brother half price new in the box with all the bells & whistles.

I have the Bosch 4000. Great saw. I have the older model stand. The new stand looks better. No complaints on the saw. Has plenty of power, light weight. easy to transport. Very accurate rip fence (rips to 24+).
