I got a cheap 12v Black & Decker on sale for $35.00 It works fine, but is a bit (ha) underpowered.
I recently used an 18v DeWalt for work, drilling a 1.5″ hole into steel smoke stacks. Worked well. The 18v is bigger and heaver, What do you really need? If you think you need something with some power that could replace a corded drill, get a regular 18v unit.
I hear the drill/hammer drill units are good. You probably don’t need a $350+ model.

The advantages of the festool drill are the different chucks, particularly the right angle and the offset. But at that price, most cabinet installers won't spring that much money. It's a great drill but not worth close to that much money, and I do have a few festools, so I'm not anti festool.
If you use a drill a lot, check out bosch pocket driver, bosch impactor, both are about the size of a pistol, or check out the white makita's or the normal size makitas and for more power check out the 28v milwaukee. All of those are very good drills and a MUCH better value.
