I am going to be installing about 10 square of red cedar shake siding. I know to use stainless steel fasteners and don’t want to hand nail. Is it acceptable to staple them? What size staples? What brand stapler? Are alkyld coated fasteners any good?

10 sq? Thats it? Whatcha get a nail gun for yer birthday? When your doing 20-30 sq + then think gun. Pick up a hammer for a mere 10 sq.
