I built these stairs three years ago. I calculated the riser height without accounting for the 3/4″ floor. Being in a hurry, I decided to fix it later. Never found the time. Now, in 5 min with the MM, I cut 3/4″ off of the stringers and my risers are all equal, and I did not have to remove the stairs to do it. This would have been a hassle even with a pull saw due to access.

Don't the treads go nose down now? plop a torpedo level on a tread and see if/how much they are out of level now.

I was assuming he turned the top loose and dropped them the same amt too.Maybe he is building a waxed feet ski ramp for me! LOLI used my MM two weeks ago. Had to peel off and replace some 10" lap siding to replace some worn flashing with lead coated copper. Took the MM up with me and cut nails loose, made some neat joints, and then after replacing it all, put on the sanding pad to clean up the hole filler and ready it for a first coat of primer.

I tried to use mine, all my blades were missing or shot last week.
I was trying to trim back some 7/8ths thick interior wall paneling from a window buck so I could have a plumb line for the jamb ext and trim..no blade meant the Cordless Circ saw came into play..in the finished bedroom of folks house..good thing I carry a vac in the van.
Actually, I don't have a MM, its a Fien sander, the first edition from 20 yrs ago..but it takes the old style blades and such.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I did that three years ago. All the tread heights are equal except the bottom one because I neglected to figure in the plywood on the landing. There has always been just a slight upward tilt, which is not necessarily a bad thing on stairs, but they are now level.
