I am currently thinking about purchasing a drill doctor. Has any one out there have one and what do they think about it?

Love Mine!
Had a job 2 yrs. ago that used 14- 10' x 3'x 2 1/4" oak doors, hinges were piano style and had screws every 3" into metal frames. Drill Doctor saved my butt.

Been thinking about getting one too. There are several threads in "Advanced Search" but none cover the newer models. Hope a few owners pitch in with some advice.
I have one, can't tell the newly sharpened from the new.

Have had mine over 2 years, figure it's pretty close to having paid for itself by now. Fairly easy learning curve, my kit came with a video.
Let's not confuse the issue with facts!
Can't speak for the new models, but I have the older 750, and have a new diamond wheel on the way. Really handy little tool, and I got a pretty good deal on it at the time. Now though, the parts (grinding wheel) seem more expensive than the newer models...What a bummer.
I have the DD that is about 4 yr old and I like it alright, but I don't find that it gives me the wizard results that others have described. I find that nothing beats a new bit to cut metal. The sharpener does work, but I can't say that I am thrilled with the results. Had good luck with customer svc, though and they also sent me a an updated chuck when I was having issues in the beginning. I guess I would buy again if I had to sharpen on a regular basis.

I have a 750. I like it, but it is worthless for the really small bits.

What's the smallest size that works well?

Fast, it's not the diameter the length is the problem. On smaller bits around eighthinch there's not enough length to properly chuck 'em up.
MikeInsert initially amusing but ultimately annoying catch phrase here.
I dont like mine.
I've had no problem with mine. Saves money and space. I only buy the small ones now.
Headstrong, I'll take on anyone!
