Yeah, but,

Well I have tried a few over the past few years. I tried the traditional two pouches and ruler in the middle, which the tape measure always fell out when I bent to pick something up. I have tried the canvas pouches, but found that everything sliped out when I bent over for something.
Now I use a combination belt. I bought the belt at Sears. It is black about 5 inches high, padded, and provides quality back support. I purchased the leather pouch at Home Depot. It has 5 pockets, two hammer holders, 6 varios holders for pliers, pencils, nail sets, etc.
This has been the best purchase yet of the tool belts. By the way the leather is medium stiff.

I have two pouches - one soft and one hard. The hard one bangs me in the butt and I find the tools getting caught deep in the pouch making it difficult to get them out. Comments?

*...good leather for me, gets soft and shapes to what you carry, four pocket bags, one on each hip. - jb
*Mark says Kangaroo hide bags jump around too much for him. . . mine musta been exported already sedated. . . sorta medium hard and goin strong after, lemme see, at least 15 years, wow, pretty good given the total abuse they get.I have another set of real soft ones that I lend to helpers, don't like em, the top edges close over and I'm always jammin nail tips up under my finger nails whenever I use it. #@*#@!!-pm
*I prefer hard leather, and I wear it with the pouches in back. For me it's easier to bend over and pick things up without the pouches dumping.
*I use some cheap "rooster" thingy from the HD. They are perfect. They'remadeof green cordura type stuff: light, stiff, yet pliable.I have used every combination known to man, and these are the best, for me.blue

*Old buck says they are too damn heavy. I wish I'd bought the nylon ones.
*The hard leather one I have is a Klein for my electrical gear, and I find it uncomfortable and any position. Maybe need to wear it more.Dennis
*In summer Big Ben overalls or dungarees( overalls without the straps & bib) and in winter carharrt overalls. I hate nail aprons. The only time I wear one is when setting forms or putting felt on a roof. if i need a nail or something other times i reach in one of my helpers nail aprons and get one.....its nice being the boss (sometimes)
