For those of you in need a description of this item, like I was, try:

Jim - there is a discussion thread about this item (at some other discussion board) at:

*Jim,I share my shop space with a guy who rebuilds and restores antique furniture. He bought one of these just last week. It's a fantastic system. It'll sharpen and polish an edge tool faster than anything I've seen. As sharp as Japanese water stones in half the time with none of the mess. I can see my smiling face in all my chisels now. This tool has my vote.Ed. Williams
*I really like the Tormek thing, and came close to buying it. Trouble is, it's so dang expensive !!! If I bought the basic machine, and the attachments I needed, it would have been over $600. I just couldn't bring myself to cough up that kind of money.

Post your question in Knots at Fine Woodworking. This is the Fine Homebuilding BB.
We rarely use chisels, and use chainsaws and jig saws instead. If we actually have to use one of those outmoded things, we sharpen them with a file or just scrape the thing on concrete!

Am I being effete by sharpening mine with a belt sander? I try to do it at least once a year sometime around my birthday.
