Hi everyone,
I have a question related to transition from galvanized to copper, I do know that normally a dielectric union will suffice, for that coupling needs to be accesible, what if I need to close the wall there after(like in case of replacing a shower valve). Can I use a brass coupling connected directly to galvanized pipe?
thanks for any input!

Without a dielectric union you are asking for trouble. More or less trouble depending on the condition of your water. There is no need that a dielectric union be accessible.
There are other ways of insulating the two other than a union, which doesn't have to be accessible, but is preffered----- I have seen to many fail
An insulating nipple is quite common on my jobs----- it's a pvc lined galvanized nipple.
A brass nipple atleast 6" in length is the "old school" way that is accepted by the inspectors.
