Trees are beautiful until…… now a repair is required. Structure is an 40 year old 2 story A-Frame camp. Just have a few questions.

1. (see diagram) would the repair suggested be apporpreiate using 3/4 ply as gussets?

Rafter gusset would extend 4′ both sides of replacement rafter and existing rafter. Peak (no ridge beam) gussets would be applied to both side of rafters. All gussets would be glued and nailed.

2. Instead of using 3/4′ board n’ in boards would 3/4′ ply add more strength when replacing damaged roof deck?
