Hi all .. I’m in need of a rig to hold wire rolls or some trick set-up that will effectively allow me to pull wires through the wall with more ease..
any ideas, home made rigs, or slight tricks would be appreciated.. I’m working on this alone and its driving me nuts.
thanks for your time!!

Picture an A-frame children's swing set.....now.....make the frames out of plywood, cut notches in the top of the "A", and place and lock(with a clip/nail/whatever),a closet rod or conduit pipe in the notches , slide the reel(s) over the pole and pull away...cheers,Phil.

thanks a million guys!!" Put the tools away ... the fish are bittin' !!"
If you're doing this regularly, the best product is a unit called the wire wheel, see:

Otherwise, make a coil holder. Nail together two 2x4s each about two feet long. At the crossing point, nail on a 2x4 upright about 18" tall. Take some romex and run it from the ends of the "X", crossing over the top of the upright. Staple at the ends and on the sides of the upright, leaving a loop at the top. Where the two pieces of romex cross, take a 16d nail, put a fender washer on it, and poke it through the two cables. Bend the end of the nail over to form a hook. drop a coil of romex over the upright, so it rests on the crossed lengths of romex. Hang the thing from the hooked nail. The holder will rotate and romex will spool off. The cool thing is that all this stuff is usually laying around the worksite. It'll work without the upright, but won't last as long.
If there's nowhere to hang the holder, set up a swivel or pivot on the bottom. An old lazy susan unit with an OSB base works great.
Good luck.
