…in the rain. Used up a bunch of stuff I had stockpiled and cobbled a little (8×10) garden shed together. The roof is stick built to provide loft storage.
Had some fun with it and put a porch with brackets on it too.

I think it looks good. Are there snow load concerns in your area? Those rafters look a bit skimpy for my neck of the woods.
Scott.
Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
Thanks Scott,The proportions of the shed make it look much larger than it is. The roof only spans 8' (4' of run, below each rafter). I hope that and the 12/12 pitch will handle the snow.
>>>The proportions of the shed make it look much larger than it isFunny how that is. Looks like the Shed Mahal in the pics.Scott.Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
Once I get it dried in and move the garden and camping gear inside, the scale will be more apparent. I hope to get that far this weekend and will post a few more pics.G'day,Brian
Once you move stuff in, you will regret not making it 4" longer!
i like that front green collar tie,is that something simpson has come out with?i like the idea of the more load, you just tighten a little.
worst thing about a shed, gives you a place to throw stuff that you'll never use again.larry
if a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
Simpson should use webbing straps--I think--handy stuff. The shed will hold the riding mower, garden tools and camping gear. Now I will have more room in the shop. :o)
