Is there anyone out there who has heard of “Guild of interior finish carpenters” ?
Saw this on someone’s business card and wondered if it was a real organization or if he made it up.

Saw your (I guess) post earlier. Didn't answer then because I had never heard of such a thing. Still haven't heard of it, tho it may exist. Euro? Canadian? Certainly not NWOhioian.

Nope. Never.
Sounds impressive though, doesn't it? <g>
It is the antecedent of a little known group of handicrapsmen called the Royal Order of the Stain-grade Extrordinaire. They are legends in their own minds, and small ones at that, both the legends and the minds.
My apologies, gentlemen and ladies, It's late, I'm ill, and the mind, in shallow drafts, wanders. I'll read this tomorrow and will finally believe in the invasion of the body snatchers. And no, I'm not drunk.

that's what an extensive search of the internet yielded.
ok well I only searched for a few minutes, but you would think something as prestigious as that would be out there.

I've heard of it ...
have no idea how or where ...
or what the hell it is ...

Never heard of it either, but I once was handed a business card with "Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler of Carpenters" on it. On the back of the card read "Eat at Joe's""One measurement is worth a thousand expert opinions"
Thanks for the response. The card definitly says "member guild of interior finish carpenters". I searched on the net and came up with zero also.I am located in Boulder ,Colorado which has plenty of "wise guys". I can only assume he made it up.It does sound impressive though. Well, guess its time to alter my resume and business cards.
Given the amt of publishing that happens in Boulder, I can imagine lots of jokers needing side jobs between deadlines. Somebodies been drinking too much Celestial Seasonings.
