Does everyone like the new bosch trim router? What are +/-‘s? Do you like anotherone better?
I had the rigid router, but my employee burned the motor. I wasn’t crazy about that model.
Thanks , Joel

R,
I've got the Bosch colt. Love It!!!
One of my favorite tools.

I bought the Colt as soon as I saw the ad. Love it!
I bought one at HDT and used it for the first time the other day. Made a play table and benches for granddaughter. I used a slot cutter and the plastic edging for the trable top. It is a fine tool!! In spite of the small base it was very stable and controlable spinning the wing cutter.
It's a nice router, and both controllable and powerful for its size. the only think I don't like is that the spindle lock is sometimes difficult to engage. I sometimes have to release the motor lock and move the base to get the spindle lock to work. A minor inconvenience for an otherwise fine tool. I got it reconditioned from CPO Bosch.

I have a Bosch and a Makita. Both are fine. Don't use the toolless bit change much because I don't change bits but rarely.
I 3rd or 4th the Bosch Colt, used mine the other day to rout a new drain into an old soapstone sink, easy to control in a difficult spot.
I saw the Colt when it was pre-production. I made the comment to the engineers and marketing folks they would sell a lot more of them if they called it a "detail router" instead of a "laminate trimmer." I could see the lights go on. I don't know if I was reinforcing their idea or seeding a new one.
just bougt one, it is great
