i want to install tumbled marble, 4×4 noce from HD, as my new counter top in my kit….i really like the look but am worried about all the bad things i here about it..my main work area will be butcher block and i will seal the crap out of the tile..poss with a new prod. that has 3m scotch guard in it from expo. (will not stain!) any comments and or ideas are welcome,,and pics…thnx

I have tumbled marble in my bathroom (floors, walls, full shower stall) and I think it is a great look. I seal it annually....but IMO I would not use it as a counter top. Too porous. I would think there would be too many health issues with bacteria from food.

what about some kind of laquer sealer or glaze..does anyone know if you can coat the counter with some thing that does not absorb into the tiles and grout
