A few weeks back, there was a short lived thread here about this product (the poster got off on the wrong foot I think). I was intrigued enough to order one since I’ve never been really happy with any quick release system I’ve tried, and was about to start a job where it would come in handy. So here’s what I think FWIW…
The Twist-Lok comes in a nice, sturdy molded case along with a set of decent quality drill bits and a nice basic selection of good driver tips. Unlike the other set ups I’ve tried, this one seems to be built very solidly, and is easy to handle even with gloves on. The heart of it is a good quality keyless chuck (good ball bearings by the feel and sound of it), with a hex shaft for good grab, into which you chuck your drill bit. When driving, you slide a large “nose cone” right over the chuck that has spring loaded pawls on it that engage matching recesses in the keyless chuck to give you drive. The “nose cone” is a very nicely machined and finished aluminum piece with a very powerful magnet imbedded in it (much more secure than the driver holders I have now). It seems to be very strong (even when clamping my 24V Bosch until it stalled there was no slippage) and removing the nosepiece is just a simple flick of the wrist. While it does add some bulk to the front of your drill, it feels very robust and solid, and has a quality feel to it that’s very nice to use. It’s not a cheap set up (about $40) but it seems much better built than any of the other quick release setups I’ve tried. There are several other configurations available that include countersinks, etc apparently. Well worth the money if you’re doing a lot of repetitve drilling/driving IMHO…

the dewalt I have is not the QC like this ,but when I'm on the top of a ladder , the bit falls out everytime I stick the drill in the hole on the ladder top...
..I wonder if this would do the same thing
I have the same problem mad, and this one seems to have a much stronger magnet and be much less "sloppy". I'm real pleased...
