Hi,
I’ve long been intrigued by an article in a volume of FHB’s Builder’s Library entitled “Two-Coat Plaster” by James Servais (it is in the “Building Floors, Walls and Stairs” volume. I am considering doing this and am curious to see if others have had success. I like the idea of a sturdy but rough finish. It also appeals to me because the sheets of rock lath are small (3/8 x 16″ x 48″)–I don’t have much interest in lugging dry wall sheets around in my fairly non-standard structure. That said, just as my back can’t handle dry wall sheets well, I don’t know if I’m setting myself up for a excruciating task to do the plaster.
I’d be interested to hear your experiences.
Thanks,
Kent
