I patched my kitchen floor after a remodel (you may remember some questions a while back – yes it’s still unfinished) and because of the board alignment on either side of a removed wall, the planks didn’t line up perfectly. I have as much as a 1/4″ gap between a couple of them. I’m having the kitchen floor refinished next week and am looking to fill the cracks. Is there something flexible enough to fill them, or is it just going to crack out and look bad? The cracks are pretty big. Photo attached.
Second, I have several boards that have some movement and squeak, and still one or two on the end of the patch that need to be secured. I was thinking I’d predrill and screw from underneath. Is that the best way?
Thanks!

It depends on the look you want. I think screwed and plugged from above can be very attractive, if you cut your plugs from the right board and get the drain direction right. If you don't want to see that, screwing from below is probably the only practical way.
The trick with screwing from below is gauging your hole depth just right to get the maximum screw engagement with the flooring without breaking through. If your pilot hole diameter is just right, you can cut or grind the tips off your screws and get about one more turn of full depth thread engagement.
