See pix – this is a new house under construction, the two roof sections run off onto a very flat looking roof section that is over an inside room.
Looks like a bad design to me.

i don't see a membrane from the flat area going up onto the sloped roof.

LOLActually, while it would be a challenge, This job could be detailed to not leak, but it is definitely poor design

That was my thought - this area is full of odd architectural things on high end homes either to justify the fee or maybe the owner said I must have a room on first floor there, causing the runnoff problem on 2 nd floor. roof is very very flat, no visible slope tho it must have one
