Other than batted insulation that keeps falling from underneath the floor (held up by staples or insulation fasteners), is there a better way to insulate the floor above a 5 foot high crawl space. Is there a foam or DIY spray or what ???
Thanks, Ken

Ken do you already have the bats in place?
If you do you could either run 1x2 every 4 feet so across the joists to keep it up, or use stiff wire to prop it in place every couple of feet between the joists, The 1x2 may be more expensive but its a lot faster and the cost would be marginal.
Others have posted a link here to a site where you can rent big cansters full of 2-part spray insulation. I thought I had the link, but can't find it. Anyone out there know the one I'm talking about? Could use it again myself; I think it's a good solution for insulating rim joist bays.
