I have had experience with “Nu-Heat”,
which makes a mat-type heater that goes
on top of a float and under the
tile/marble flooring.Very thin sheathed
wire encased in a fiberglass mat. 110V
My experience included a messy fix that
took the charm out of the whole thing. I
am interested in finding another
manufacturer of this particular type of
heater.Hopefully one that is a bit more
heavy duty.I am located in No Cal.
Thanks, Chris

There is one that is advertized in FHB on a regular basis. It is called Suntouch. I don't know much about the product but I do know that they will send you a sample of their heat mat.
*Woody,Nu-Heat was and is the best of the best. Email me and I may be able to give you some tips.(grooving out for the connection and leads?) and also using Keralastic or similar acrylic based adhesive and then feathering out beyond the mat?I know it is a hastle indeed but what do you expect?....all retrofit cable/thinset systems are the same, right? Whenever you place a mat or cable system over a substrate that is 1/8-3/16" above the rest of the floor and have to set a tile or stone, you have to deal with it. Just charge for the hassal in my opinion. I have been there.Jeff
