Yep, I give up. Installed a jet pump and it just won’t “pump”!
Suction is flooded, with a 1000 gallon holding tank, I get water coming out of the discharge before I hook it up to the bladder tank / house system.
It’s a 1/2 horse Dayton that will pull from a shallow 25 foot well. But I have a holding tank and am using the jet pump as a booster pump – or to pressurize the house with 40 PSI.
I just will not generate pressure.

Dang the dw needs the puter to pay bills
I'll be back after that maybe I can give ya info back in a bit

How far up is the bladder tank/pump from the house?. If I remember correctly, you loose 1 lb of pressure for every 2 feet of height.. Also depends on the HP of the pump in relation to the rise in height . Most wells that have booster pumps/jet pumps install the pump and bladder tank near storage tank. I don't know if this makes much difference, but my brain is sayiing it does, but I don't have the reason why.
Also, the pump should be between the storage tank and the bladder tank. The tee for the house supply should also be between the tank and booster. I assume that is correct. You might have a problem with an air lock in the booster pump. If so, you need to prime the pump 1st. To do this disconnect the outflow from the booster that goes to the booster tank/house and let water flow though the booster with and with out power. Then reconnect the pipe.
Is the check valve installed the correct direction. Probably is, just better to ask. maybe a different booster pump, like a grundfos or other brand that has the motor and pump head in line with each other.
Hope this works
OK I'm back
When pump is on what does the pressure gauge show on the outlet side?
Is there a valve on the downstream side that you can close & see what the max output of the pump will do?
Does the pump shut off before your desired result is occuring?
If ya can answer these would be a bit helpfull diagnosing the problem.

From the pic, that ball valve looks closed?!?! Doubt you have it closed when pumping though. Any backflow preventer in line that may be stuck or bass ackwards?
Well first off... Your ball valve is closed.
;o)

Ha! gotcha by 19 minutes! Yeah, saw that too. Let's hope thats not the culprit (somebody's gonna feel a little silly if so)Judo Chop!
Ouch ! I didn't even come back to read it again after my response. So I didn't know someone else had already pointed it out.
