I am having footings (poured concrete)and foundation walls (concrete block and mortar) built in December/January in the Northeast. A friend told me to put this off until Spring because the concrete will never cure properly in sub-freezing temperatures. Is my friend right? Is there anything that should be added to the concrete to accelerate the curing of the concrete without compromising the structural integrity of my foundation.
Any advice or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
