Just surfed the new Milwaukee V28 website at www.v28power.com and it is pretty cool. Lots of flash animation and things to make it interesting. I particularly liked the test results of the head to head comparisons. The yellow, blue and green tools have a long way to go to match the results the new lithium ion tools deliver.<!—-> <!—->
My tool distributor has started a waiting list for tools. I ordered a combo kit for my lead truck (Mine!)<!—->

How much mulah?
I think I saw somewhere that the combo kit will be about $700
I saw the combo kit advertised on a website at $699. Which is pretty reasonable for two 28 volt lithium batteris that run longer than four ni-cads. did you check out the test results at http://www.v28power.com?
all my cordless are milwaukee 18vlooks like they finally improved the klunky, hard-to-open, hateful battery release buttons that is on the 18v stuffi like milwaukee, but have been about ready to jump ship just because of the battery release latches.BTW, some of my batteries seem to work easier than others. I don't think it's the newer batteries work better...it's probably just variances in production.
Some of my milw 18's had tight latches until I read on their website to take a torqex screwdriver and back off the three screws on the top rear of the battery about a half turn and they now unlatch easily. They say at v28power.com the new lithium battery has easy to release latches. Must have listened to us.
Yes.
I'm a member of the Milwaukee Heavy Duty club, not that it really means anything. I got an e-mail from them a few days ago with that site.
I just bought the 18v kit in November. I wish I could justify getting rid of them for the 28v tools.
Maybe the prices will come down in a year or so.
What Butch said?
Our Milwaukee rep came by yesterday with some brochures about the v28 tools, and my company has apparently made a huge buy of the kits.
We should have one in the store soon so I'll let you know how I like them...
PS You can register to win a kit at Milwaukees website.
