Good day to all!! I am a first time inquirer and need help figuring out my valley rafter cut. Have the books, have the calculator, have done it before and yet today it’s got me befuddled. I’m aware using a 12 inch run instead 17 inch is the most common error and have avoide that one but??? Help!! inquiringone

If you have Sketchup you can give this tutorial a try. The same basic concepts behind a regular Hip/Val Rafter hold true for the Irregular variety too.
