I have noticed the use of Graces ice and water barrier as a underlayment on roofs instead of felt paper.On a insulated roof, would you not be applying a vapor barrier on the cold side of the insulation and could this contribute to condensation problems.

What piffin says -- a conventional roof should always be vented at the eaves and peak to allow heat and moisture to escape. Then the permeability of the roofing itself is of no consequence.
