I need some advice on running vent pipes in a bathroom addition. This a small bath, 9 x 5 with a tub/shower, toilet and sink. I have the rough plumbing in with stubs for the vents just through the bottom plate of a 2 x 6 wall. There is a 2″ vent just down stream from the tub, a 2″ downstream from the toilet and a 1-1/2 vent at the sink. All the vents are in the same wall within 6′ of each other. My question is can they all be connected into a single 2″ vent and then only have to cut only one hole in the roof?

what i did was connect kictern sink dishwasher, to attic, then both bathrooms to attic, also laundry into attic. all two inch lines. Once in attic all tie into three in line together and exit the roof in one, four inch line.
Yes, you can combine the vents. You want to do it in such a way that if anything backs up, it won't cause water to go thru the tie and come up in another fixture. I remember there being something in the code about keeping the horizontal tie 6 or 8 inches above the flood rim of the higher fixture. Look at Taunton's "Code Check: Plumbing" book for the details.
