How do I vent the rafter bays in a cathedral ceiling where it meets a skylight?
Construction:
Asphalt shingles – shingle underlay – 1/2″ plywood sheathing-I-Joist rafters 14″deep,- 2layers R-20 Roxul- 1 1/2″ perpendicular strapping – 1 1/2″ EPS type II – 6mil vaporbarrier – 1/2″ drywall
the insulation comes to the underside of the topcord giving me a 1 1/2″ ventspace. When it comes to the skylight the blocking for the 4×4 skylight is solid from the bottom of the I-joist to the top. How do I by-pass the skylight for venting to the roof ridge?

Check in recent replies for the long answer, wont let me post it here for some reason. In short, punch holes either in sklight header/blocking or in joist web IF allowed by code.
