Guys, I need your input.
I have a walkout basement and a mold problem. I need to know what type of sheet rock to use with the system. Right now it is looking like I will be painting the raw concrete with Thoroseal (two times), a solid layer of 2″ rigid foam (with tape on joints), and 25 guage metal studs.
Now, what do I put on the surface? Regular gypsum board, moisture resistant drywall or one of these new inorganic drywall with fibreglass instead of paper? I live on the water on the North Shore of Long Island so I know I need to keep the windows closed on humid days in the summer. My worry is that the new drywall (Densarmor) will break too easily when I move it and install it. But the less organic material, the happier I will be and the happier my wife will be.

Is the mold problem only on or near the walkout wall? Is the wall unfinished on the inside right now? Condensation is a big problem here in my part of the midwest on walkout basement walls that are never really finished. Basements typically have more moisture content than the rest of the house (especially soon after the slab is poured)and the wall that is exposed to the cold outside air is usually begging for condensation (then mold).
