Hello All, I’m new to this, so bear with me. My house goes under construction in April, so I have a little time to work out some details. How do I incorporate 1 1/2 rigid insulation on to an exterior wall with cedar shingles? Where does the sheathing go, on the studs, or studs first then insulation then sheathing? Does the wall have to be strapped in both directions? Does It have to be strapped at all? If anyone out there can give me some creative way of venting a vaulted ceiling with exposed rafter tails, that would help too. I’m in over my head. Nothing but fear and common sense holding me back. Thanks Packrat
