I WOULD LIKE INFORMATION ON REMOVING A WALL THAT IS BETWEEN MY FAMILY ROOM AND LIVING ROOM.THE WALL IS LOAD BEARING AND THIS A TWO STORY COLONIAL.I WAS TOLD TO USE SHORING WALLS BETWEEN THE TWO WALLS FOR SUPPORT AND TWO MORE SUPPORTING WALLS UPSTAIRS FOR EXTRA SUPPORT.BECAUSE THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 4 SECTIONS WHICH WERE STACKED. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WOULD BE EASIER TO REMOVE THE WALL BECAUSE THERE IS SUPPORT ON ALL FOUR WALLS ON THE UNIT THAT SITS ON TOP.THE WALL THAT WILL BE REMOVED IS LOAD BEARING AND WILL REQUIRE A HEADER FOR SUPPORT.IF ANYONE HAS EVER DONE THIS I WILL APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK….THANKS..RAY.
