Trex works great, I am making corners and window trim outta 5/4 Trex.
My limited exp. with seeing Hardie trim on sites I work at, leaves a lot to be desired, chipped edges mostly.

Harditrim - How do I hate thee, let me count the ways.
Let's see - Don't lean an 8 footer up against a wall and have it fall over as it breaks into three or four pieces.
Don't drive a nail halfway and then decide to back out the nail to shift the trim over a little because that makes it break in half.
Don't cut it with a hand saw without being fully supported at the cut because big chunks break out of the back when you are almost through.
Based on suggestions here I switched to Miratec. Wonderful stuff.

LOL, Steve.
