Thanks to all who answered my question on radiant heat. A follow up on a product called Warm Board. Have accumulated some information from the company since it was mentioned by a couple of you. Anyone have ANY stories using the product good or bad?? I am going to take this to the contractor since he didnt bring it up. Once again thanks for the input….refresher….going to put radiant in lower level but looking for best way to put it on main level under hardwood….which reminds me several of you mentioned to make sure I get a “good” hardwood for use above radiant….oak, hickory or cherry do? Looking for a very hard wood have 2 small boys (enough said!!)

You can use whatever wood you like. Designed properly, RFH operates at a low enough temperature that it will not contribute to wood floor problems.
