A couple of weeks back, somebody posted a tale on a friday of a young guy on a hot roof crew who got burned pretty badly – distracted by a phone call end of day that his kid had just gone to the hospital.
I was hoping to know more about the progress and if I copuld be of help emotionally or otherwise.
Anybody recall who first posted that or know where that thread went?

It was me. I've been having a hard time getting info. on the injured worker. The roofing contractor wouldn't give me his name, claiming he "couldn't remember" his real name, as everyone called him by his nickname. I called the hospital, and they said they wouldn't give me any info. without a name - even tho' they surely knew who it was by the description of the accident.
Last I heard was from my secretary, who said one of the roofers told her that he's in Los Angeles, being operated on. That's the extent of what I know, which is why I didn't revisit the original thread. I've been repairing the interior of the unit where the hot tar spilled down the skylight shafts. Just a real tragedy.

Even with the name your would not get information out of the hospital.Federal law. I think that it is called Hipa or something like that (health information protection act)..

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
