I have a real good washer and dryer I got off my parents when they moved, less then a year old, and hardly used because they bought them right before they found out they were moving to Boston..
anyway, I have a climate controlled storage unit where the temp is kept at 75 year round, but I don’t think the humidity is controlled.
Can I store these for about a year and expect them to work, or will the internals likely have problems after sitting so long.
I was planning on storing them on blocks to at least get them off the concrete and wrapping them in plastic to keep the dust etc off.
any other ideas?

Store just fine. Use cloth instead of plastic for dust control.

Be sure washer is fully drained (hoses, valve, etc). You shouldn't have to worry about it freezing there, but you don't want a green funk to be growing.
It was drained completely before packing and moving it up here, I can't be sure 100% of the water is out, but I guess 99.99% is gone, I was worried about gaskets and seals degrading over time, and the possibility of any lubricants either settling or drying up with it not being used.

my guess
no problems with the dryer
but the washer the oil seals/ who knows.
how hard to once or twice during the year by hand move the washer tub a revolution or two?
easy, cheap?
