Overnight dew is dripping off of deck furniture, and staining the sealed ipe decking beneath with water marks. This has happened with pretty much all the decking material I’ve ever used, redwood, trex, mahogany, so it’s not a problem just with ipe.
I’m just wondering if there’s any way to clean-up these water marks?

I'm in San Diego Piff, almost as dry as Tuscon !
No wonder you are complaining about a couple little old water spots. There isn't much else to complain about in paradise!;)Sorry I could be more help other than an entertaining bump

No, not much to complain about. Can't complain about No Rain either since this Season we've had almost 3 times our average !
Like I said, I've seen this on almost every deck I've ever built, and just hoping someone has an easy solution, for me and the homeowner.
have you tried penofin exotic wood sealer/u.v. inhibitor? rain spots after that?
It's already sealed, with 2 coats od Seasonite, besides, I've seen the same water marks on redwood, mahogany, and ipe decks I've stained, and Trex decks. This isn't rain spots but dew coming off of the furniture overnight.
I'm wondering about if anyone has ever dealt with this problem and found out what I can tell the homeowner to use.
I'm wondering - seriously this time now - if you have some sort of air poollution that causes this as an acid rain sort of reaction. I know it efffects trees, and i have seen roof flashings die sooner in areas where there is heavy polution.
