I have a client for an upcoming new home who wants to have a wood fired component to their forced air propane system. Anyone out there have any experience with this? Any product recommendations?
Thanks,
Chase Ambler

The recipe for linoleum hasn't changed much in nearly 170 years, yet it's still one of the greenest floors money can buy.

Chase:
Built a combination heat pump/fireplace system that has elements similar to what you are looking for. Installed all steel finned tubes above firebox with water walls made of commercial flat welded plate with water channels, standard hot water circulating pump, and added a second indoor air conditioning coil in the ducting but with circulated hot water. Added a relay to the thermostadt system so the heat pump circuit (or propane furnace circuit) was locked out of operation if the circulating water temperature was warm enough to provide heat. Only thing that may be hard to find are the water wall panels, as I had found them as shipbuilding surplus.
