waterproof basement for new construction
My block walls are going up for the basement (could not afford Poured or ICF). heres the plan… Rub-R wall spray on with dimple mat glued on to it and J-drain foundation drain. Any other suggestions? I thought about putting a foot or so of gravel over the J-drain. does perforated pipe work any better? thanks for any suggestions I just don’t want any moisture problems.

j-drain ?
it is a rectangle drain that wraps around between the footer and against the wall comes w/ a sock and does not require gravel
Without going through their whole website it appears that J-drain is just for interior use.But there might well be some for exterior. Is it similar to form-a-drain?http://www.certainteed.com/CertainTeed/Pro/Contractor/Foundations/.
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

Doesn't look like Form-A-Drain.
that's what I thought, so he still needs big-oh with a sock on it around the perimeter of, and just below, the footing ..
This passes code as a foundation drain you put up against the wall and backfill no perforated pipe or gravel
