I’m raising an old historical house and putting in a half basement under it. One side will be 3′ below grade and the other about 6′. The hill it’s on carries a lot of water.
I’d like advise on the most cost effective way to waterprooofing the retaining walls and slab, and providing for drainage. I’m currently considering the following products.
Fdn Walls: Volclay Swelltite, butyl rubber, w/ primer, adhesive, Aquadrain for vertical drainage.
Subslab: Volclay Voltex (under slab)
Bentoseal for sealing penetrations
Sump pump.
I’m pretty sure this stuff will do the job, but it is expensive. Any thoughts?
