The weather here in Central New Jersey has been outstanding lately. I really had to comment on it. Shorts and no shirts right up till now.
How about the rest of the country. Sonny, you don’t need to chime in, we know Florida is always beautiful. But rub it in if you must.

Vancouver, B.C.,Canada...Sept. was good ,October has been intermittant rain/showers/downpours/cloud-openings/mists/sprinklings/deluges/rainy periods/liquid sun/UGLY. But thanks for aking anyway.
*Michigan Upper Peninsula, Pretty rainy but mild, expecting snow tomorrow but warmer toward the weekend. Anything over 45 degrees is a treat.
*Had a great week last week while I finished an indoor job, but now that I want to do a roof, it only wants to rain!Rich Beckman
*California central valley - crisp blue skies, warm days topping out in the high 70's and chilly nights in the 40's, breezy now and then, leaves starting to turn, couldn't be nicer. Wish you were here!
*The weather gods know Rich, they just know....Last fall was as busy as this one looks, everytime I had a day off and planned to blow the leaves(NO pun intended!:-) out of my yard, it rained that day or the days before. Finally got to do it this spring.
*What town Rick?I'm up in Newton.
*Kootenays, sunny and mild, chilly in the morning, snow on the peaks, maples look like flames, winter's coming.so long from the Kootenays, gtw
*Talkeetna, AK... 'bout a hundred miles north of Anchorage - 6" fresh snow & 10 degrees f. That's OK tho the garage doors just went up today& we are dried in. On to the next one...
*7F on the way through town last morning. A few miles up the road, some body had -4F. Already 1F at 11pm and clear and still so I'm guessing -15F (-26C) tomorrow morning. And it's only October!!! At least the foot of snow we have is still in great shape for skiing, mushing, etc. Busting trail with the dog this afternoon, I stripped to Levi's (long pants), no shirt. Bright sun and a balmy 22F midday. But "Shorts and no shirts" like Rick? No, I'm not tough enough for shorts. In two weeks, I fly to Seattle, buy a new car, and drive up the Alcan. Defintely bringing the down-filled coveralls. Last time it got down to -44F in the Yukon. -David
*Just walked down the driveway with the dog. The stars are all twinkling from red to green and back again. So their light is passing through a serious inversion layer. So it will keep cooling off all night. -David
*We're getting our first wintery bits today - drove to work with pellets of snow blowing around. Very windy - forecast to have 65 mph gusts. If you want to watch, hit this link; it's to the mid-lake bouy about halfway between Milwaukee, WI and Grand Haven, MI. The lake forecast is saying 12-20 foot waves...http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.phtml?$station=45007did
*Newton is a great town, Mike. I used to drive through regularly on my way to a jobsite at Waywayanda State Park. I stopped once or twice there because it seemed like such a nice place - historic houses and real charm.BTW, Rick's not kidding - it was in the 80's here yesterday - lots of suprised painters out doing latex, including our garden shed.Jeff
*alan - I've been in Talkeetna on the drive up to Fairbanks. Isn't that where the official breakup tripod is on the river?Jeff
*yeah i've been to talkeetna too - only in the summer - spent a month in & around gulkana - floating the copper & a few other rivers - if we don't like it here in montana (after a few years) alaska is next - followed by australia - or maybe the other way around - only thing i didn't handle well was your state bird - the mosquito - damn things didn't even pay attention to DEET - about flew away with me a few times - oh yeah - the weather here in bozeman has been cloudy, breezy,(small gusts up to 60 mph) snow flurries, sleet, some rain & about once a week we see the sun for a little bit - but i'm still not complaining - watched a herd of about 50+ elk walk through our front pasture yesterday - who gives a crap about the weather!
*I spent yesterday on a roof in 92° weather, very humid. I was sweating all day.Today (so far) it is in the mid 70's, sun shine and mild breeze. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather.I got the day off and am gonna go enjoy the heck out of it.James DuHamel
*81 degrees and sunny here yesterday. 75 and sunny now.
*Thanks Jeff, we like it. Generally nice folks, good schools, out of the way enough to mostly avoid transient crime. IMO, some of the best roads for motorcycling in the state, too. Seems like ever since I moved out of NYC, I've been moving NW. We may stay here a while.
*i watched a herd of about 50+ elk walk through our front pasture yesterday - who gives a crap about the weather! I remember the first time we had bear(s) in the yard, or a flock of wild turkey. Wonderful isn't it?
*Hey Phil, where in Vancouver are you? I'm as far east as you can get without being Burnaby, and as far south as you can get without being New West.
*Mike,I'm in Manasquan, Monmouth county, about three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. I used to be a real estate appraiser, and Sussex county was on my route, along with Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris and Warren counties. That part of the state is like our little secret. We have been seeing wild turkeys in these parts as well, and they're pretty damn entertaining. Good LuckRick Louquet
*New West, right near DQ,and the library.
*1' of snow and eight below this morning. Looks like the same tommorow. Sterling, Alaska. Jeff Clark, They set that tripod up in Nenana which is in between Talketna and Fairbanks.
*Thanks Rick,Growing up in NYC, I spent more than a few summer weekends at the shore(a few in Manasquan), been mostly to Cape May in the last couple of years. Gotta tell ya, I never expected turkeys to cluck like chickens...My dog's come close to getting one a couple of times, but no cigar. That's pure entertainment there-seeing her burst into a flock of about 20 and not get even one!! She's just left there panting.
*Benn overcast here for about a week week and half beginning to think im living back up in the NW again. ready to have some geoduck soup
*Outta work early today, gonna actually get to see grass by this evening(leaf blower's calling me).Cool but clear today, perfect fall day....
*Weather Report.Or is that Wheather report, I forget sometimes being Canadian. All Hallows Eve, sun, hail, sleet, for the children the evening was mild but scary. The ostriches (or is that ostri) in the rhubarb were terrible this year. Still trying to get their teeth untantangled.so long from the Kootenays, gtw
*Armin, no snow to track Bambi yet? Bet dem deers are relieved. Terrible weather here in Georgia, so dont even think about moving here...75 today and sunny.
*If this is global warming ... pass the aerosal! I got some sprayin' to do.Forecasted for 71 degrees in Boston tomorrow.
